Mommy Time!

So the weather was just gorgeous yesterday, and so we decided that we would have a picnic and eat at the park. All in all it was a great. The dogs got to play, the kids released some tension, and so did their mommy! I was so dissapointed when we got there to see some foul mouthed teenagers taking over the park like it was their hood! So as one girl started to drop the f-bomb in front of my kids, and the 'gentlemen' with her shouted g-d a couple times, I had had enough! I firmly told them to watch their language, and if they wanted to cuss they could do it down the road! I was sure I had signed my death certificate as this girl was big enough to take on King Kong, but I stood my mommy ground! They both said, "yes maam" and kept walking down the path. One day my big mouth will probably get me in tons of trouble, but for today, I escaped unscathed...

I really didn't think I was ever in danger cause my husband could have choke slammed her if it got really bad, but it didn't, and hopefully I made an impression on them to watch their mouths when little ones are in their presence.

So on the way home, after I had this feeling that I had really made an impression on those kids, my seven year old tells me..."Mom, when you told that girl to watch her mouth, she said, 'you watch your mouth'....

Just when I thought I'de won that battle....
